The Corporate Social Responsibility concept is an integral part of Hilton’s brand philosophy, and plays an important role in the day-to-day work of the team at DoubleTree by Hilton Lodz. We work closely with several charities, and believe that action taken in local communities can change the world. We work according to the CARE principle which entails taking care of our guests, local communities and employees.
We proudly support Children’s Home No.9 in Lodz. The children are frequent guests in our hotel as we invite them to use the swimming pool or watch a movie in our Cinema. In 2016 together with Hilton Worldwide and IQ Sport we organised a sports contest for children and seniors. During the event, the participants could familiarise themselves with the common duties of the hotel staff, listen to Damian Radowicz’s lecture or watch the Maciek „Gleba” Florek’s dance show. Every year we underline the plight of children who suffer from autism and cerebral palsy by utilizing our facade. We also support the Gajusz Foundation that helps children with chronic and incurable diseases. In 2017 our staff collected 200 kg of clothes for the Helping through clothes initiative. The environment is another area that we care about. For example, together with Corpo, we have built a bee-hive on the roof of our hotel.
CARE is a Corporate Social Responsibility program carried out by members of our staff – and part of a wider vision adopted across the Hilton brand. The CARE culture aims to encourage all hotel team members to have a positive influence on visitors, the surroundings and each other. We also participate in the ‘Travel with Purpose’ CSR program to demonstrate our commitment to creating lasting connections between our team and local communities. We work to analyse and reduce our impact on the natural environment.
